Choosing A Holiday Villa
Villa holidays provide a fresh and different holiday experience to what most people are used to, they allow a lot more choice and freedom than a regular package/hotel holiday. There are some important things to remember when choosing a holiday villa:
• Most villas come with private/shared pools
• Usually villas are perfect for up to 15 people (although often more can be accommodated)
• A lot of villa holidays include car hire (for an extra charge or free as part of the package)
• Welcome packs are available at most villas that include items like tea/coffee, bread, cheese and wine etc.

Top Tips For Villa Holidays
Here are our top tips to look our for when booking a holiday villa
1. Set a budget
Villas vary wildly in price from the basic to the very luxurious. Its important to set a budget before you start searching so that you only look for villas you can afford (and don't get carried away!).
2. Deciding where you want to go
This can be a tricky one. First decide on the "destination", be it Portugal, Spain, Italy or the USA. Then you can decide on the resort by looking at what's available locally (be it a beach or mountain holiday), sightseeing choices or whatever takes your fancy.
3. Choose the facilities you want
Villas come with swimming pools, maid services or anything else you can think of. Take a look at the handy icons next to any villa on our site to see what's on offer
4. Choose the right sized villa
Think about the number of bedrooms and bathrooms you'll need on your villa holiday and check whether any beds are sofa beds. Is it going to be practical for a party member to sleep on a sofa?
Villa holidays are more often than not self catering so try and find out how big the kitchen is if you're planning on doing a lot of cooking (although most villas will be suitable for your needs).
